Joseph Mohr, who was active as assistant pastor in Mariapfarr from 1815 to 1817, wrote the text  to "Silent Night, Holy Night" in 1816. In the parish and pilgrimage museum one can see valuable religious treasures  as well as a documentation on Joseph Mohr and his family and the distribution of this Christmas Carol.
